Our Story

Since 2012

La Sosta is an authentic Italian restaurant and a stylish cocktail bar in the heart of Fremantle.

La Sosta has grown over the past 5 years from a small restaurant to a gorgeous 3-level space for every occasion.

In Italian, La Sosta means “Stopover” and there is always a good reason to stop here. The kitchen will delight you with a great selection of entrées, generously sized pasta plates, irresistible house-made desserts, and an extensive wine list.

At LaSosta, we only work with the best Western Australian & Italian food suppliers, ensuring that we always have the best and fresh ingredients. You’ll find a large variety of dishes made to satisfy any palate - seafood, steaks, variety of handmade fresh pastas, large choice of entrees, extensive wine list and irresistible in-house made desserts.

Head waiter

Alessio, with more than 20 years experience in working in Italian restaurants will serve you in the best Italian way. Alessio is one of the most dedicated workers, who knows his job very well and who loves spoiling La Sosta's guests with the best of Italian cuisine!



Restaurant Manager

Francesco is our diamond. Everyone loves his positive attitude, professionalism and kind personality. With a background as a Bar Manager at resorts, he will do his best for you to create an enjoyable atmosphere and to provide smooth service.



Patisserie Chef

Pauline is the person behind the scenes who makes magic with the desserts, chocolate and cakes. Pauline has a deep knowledge in chocolates. She is a creative mind who always makes something new.



Bar Manager

William has extensive bartending and mixology experience. He can make anything you wish to make you happy. He is a Aperol Spritz master, molecular cocktail magician and wine connoisseur.


Head Chef

Matteo began to cook when he was 6, when he was always asking his Italian nonna to teach him the art of cooking. Sincerely passionate for food, simplicity and quality ingredients, Matteo is the soul, heart and brain of LaSosta. At work Matteo's motto is 'we can do everything to make you happy'!
